Blogging is Wonderful

As I was reading all my favourite blogs over the weekend I checked out one of more recent additions Are We Nearly There Yet? and she was talking about Haiti and gave this great link. If you would like to help this is a small but hopefully effective effort.

When I popped by on Saturday to donate they hadn't quite reached their initial goal of 1 Shelter Pack. I just checked the site, and they now have enough for SIX packs. I know it seems like a drop in the ocean but every little helps and maybe these will actually reach someone, rather than be stuck in the bottle neck that is currently Port Au Prince airport.

It's these wonderful efforts, experiences and people that have made blogging a truly rewarding journey for me. I am so glad I started reading them, and then joining them, more than two years ago now, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon, even though some of my absolute favourite ones have decided to do so.

It is always really sad when favourite bloggers give up and I am often wondering what has happened to people who have just vanished into thin air.

It is wonderful that one life saving pack for Haiti has turned into six! That will make a tremendous difference to six families and they will definitely think it was worthwhile. I hope what ever way people are helping, that they will continue with it and give these unfortunate people a chance of life.

Nuts in May

Thanks for this.

I can't believe that we started off thinking we'd raise enough for one box and we now have enough for six. It's amazing what we can all do if we work together.

Just brilliant!

Hi Sith, as everyone says every little helps. Good to catch up with you again and so good to see the photos of the house in France, it looks so like ours in when in different stages of renovation. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with you comings and goings for a while. How is the grandchild??

Maggie - I know some people just disappeared overnight, I still go over and comment to try and entice them back. I see Hazel is back over at Living the Dream.

Laura - it was a great effort - well done.

Gill thanks for dropping by.

Hazel welcome back and thanks for dropping by. Annika is wonderful, loving every minute, I am certainly going to miss my time with her when we eventually make it to France.
