My thoughts too are with those in Australia and with people in France who were flooded in the winds - one couple (our friends) had to get into their boat to row away from their house (they're in a mill). So much of their stuff was damaged.

Hope you survived the dog walk! I has been sunny here (but cold) the last few days, but today is is grey and drizzling again - *sigh*.Franceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03381873315065246232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556649857259211758.post-20439772932774139272009-02-16T14:42:00.000-08:002009-02-16T14:42:00.000-08:00You're right Toastie, the last few days have given...You're right Toastie, the last few days have given us sunshine and nice mild days teasing us that spring is on it's way - i.e. just above zero - you get to appreciate the small pleasures here, believe me - but apparently snow is on the way again on Wednesday!!softintheheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01365562754859033869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556649857259211758.post-43384432001708199552009-02-16T04:32:00.000-08:002009-02-16T04:32:00.000-08:00Twill soon be spring :)xTwill soon be spring :)

xMarmiteToastyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02536695634856882487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556649857259211758.post-48039461762163054762009-02-12T16:30:00.000-08:002009-02-12T16:30:00.000-08:00We've had horrible rain after the snow and now the...We've had horrible rain after the snow and now there are floods, in places. Some of the fields could be mistaken for lakes and I don't think that we have ever seen the water so high, in the 22 years that we have lived in this area.

Thinking about Australia, however, I wouldn't like to live in a country that's suffered a 10 year drought, as they have. Rain is miserable, but I love the green scenery in the UK.Mean Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07829239249872290230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556649857259211758.post-55952273831589452652009-02-12T12:48:00.000-08:002009-02-12T12:48:00.000-08:00Ah! It was fun an beautiful for one week, now it;s utterly boring and dangerous as the snow turns to ice. I do like the winter though as I tend to overheat in summer. Hope that horrid slush washes away soon.menopausaloldbag (MOB)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04320287770097378027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556649857259211758.post-23726034600612976742009-02-12T06:23:00.000-08:002009-02-12T06:23:00.000-08:00I don't like intense heat or cold. The weather is miserable and it makes you long for a hot summer's day. I'm not sure if I would trade them for your intense winters and summers though. I think that might be overdoing it a little bit.Irenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05043376053971475659noreply@blogger.com
